Carrots, Carrots Everywhere!

Well, the past week with those green veggies went well. The second meal with the peas was a lot better than the first. Landon much preferred that they were cold the second time around so we refrigerated the rest of the veggies for him. Then on Wednesday we tried green beans and he seemed to like those. Now after a week of oatmeal for breakfast and dinner and either peas or green beans for lunch we tried carrots for lunch today! Now that was something that he really liked! After, carrots will come sweet potatoes and then squash.
Here are a couple pictures of the carrots...

And the aftermath!

Yes, Peas... No, Thank You!!

Today we entered the world of baby food starting with PEAS! Dr. Keblawi, our pediatrician, said to start oatmeal, which we did the past couple weeks, then introduce baby foods starting with the green veggies. After the green veggies we will go to orange and yellow veggies and then we get to have the fun stuff... FRUIT!! Following this progression due to the allergy prone natures of the foods, green veggies having the least and fruits having the most. He said to introduce one food at a time and try it for a couple days, to make sure that he has no allergies to that food, before moving on to the next. So, being Mommy's least favorite we started with peas. We are pretty sure that Landon doesn't like peas either!
Here is the before shot...
Getting ready....
This says it all...
"No more peas, you guys had your fun!"
The interview...
And the after shot...we had to get that bright, beautiful smile!
So, we are going to see which foods Landon likes and doesn't like and then Mommy is going to take on the baby food making herself! We'll have an update on that project for you after we get there. We hope that you had a good laugh from these videos because we certainly did!

In the High Chair

We set-up the high chair last night for Landon..wow time is FLYING!! So for this morning's breakfast he got to try it out. It has some cool toys attached so he doesn't get too frustrated waiting for his food to come. He is so funny and already developing his own personality, if you don't feed him fast enough he will go ahead and tell you to speed it up with some grunts! He also keeps wanting to feed himself! Independent little bug!

Baby Tripod Sitting

Yeah Landon!! He can tripod, the first stage of sitting upright where baby sits on his tushy holding his arms straight out in front of him with his hands on the ground!! We have been working with him on the bed for the last few weeks. We would hold him upright in sitting position and them let him fall back onto the bed to learn the muscles he needs to sit. Well, today we had him on the bed again and we sat him in position and he stayed! He even started falling and corrected his fall by shifting his weight. Way to go buddy! See how proud he is...
"Wow, I can do it!"

Big Boy and His Cereal

Well, this past week Landon has been eating his baby oatmeal while we eat our big people oatmeal. This week we are going from one meal of baby cereal to two per day. So, the other day I was feeding his morning cereal and he decided he is big enough to feed himself now...

A couple of weekends ago...

OK, so we are in trouble... A couple of weekends ago GiGi and G'pa (Amber's parents) came for a visit. Well finally here are the pictures!! Of course our little guys is growing like a weed, as you read in the last post, so they were surprised to see just how big Landon is. We had a great visit, and Mommy and Daddy even got away for a little bit while GiGi and G'pa babysat. Here is one cute pic of Landon and his protector Latte...think we are going to need a dog because he loves her!

A Trip to the Doctor's Office

We had Landon's 4 month check-up yesterday. He is growing like a little weed! The Doc says that Landon is doing awesome. He is 15lbs 5oz now, which is 62 weight percentile for his age and 27 inches long, in the 97% for his age in height! WOW! But, there was a more traumatic side to yesterday's visit... remember back in December how we had the "BIG Snow" and Landon didn't have his 1st set of shots? Well, he got them yesterday...OUCH! Which brought on his first set of alligator tears. And of course that brought tears to Mommy's eyes too! After getting three pokes and two band-aides, we had a bottle and headed home.
Here are the battle wounds...
