Trick or Treat

Yes, it is a week late but Landon and Hailey were both recovering from being sick last week so they had to miss out. They got to do their Trick or Treating last night...

In the Spirit of Halloween

Last weekend we really got in to the spirit of Halloween and harvest by making a Jack-o-Lantern scarecrow. Landon tried to keep up with all our errand running while getting all of Jack's parts but to no success, this is what happens when you refuse to take a nap...

Happy Labor Day

This past weekend we went to our friend's house in St. Maries (Bryan and Emily, it is actually where we went for Memorial Day, we started out the summer and finished it off up in St. Maries, ID). We had a very fun and full weekend. We went on hikes, hung out and played games, Daddy and Bryan went fishing caught some fish and on the way got some grouse as well.

On Sunday night we all went to the park where they had the best firework show that Mommy or Daddy had ever seen! It was incredible and the finale had the biggest booms and brightest lights that it light up the sky like it was day. Mommy and Daddy felt like kids again! It was also Landon's first show, since he was asleep for the 4th of July show. At first he didn't know what to think and had a half smile and was half laughing and half whining/crying. But we held him closer and then he loved it. He was also amazed by the carnival ride that was right behind us, with all the lights and going around and around. He kept looking from the fireworks to the ride in aw.One of Landon's first fireworks...

Then on Monday we woke up early explored around, enjoyed the nice fall air and picked a fresh blackberry breakfast for Landon before we got on the road.

Camping at the Moyie River

For Landon's first 4th of July we did our annual camping trip to the Moyie River. We had so much fun and Landon did so well!

While everyone went rafting Mommy and Landon stayed behind and went down to the river to go for a swim, the water was pretty chilly be it was really fun!

A little boy on a BIG adventure...

We camped for 4 days and had a blast. Landon missed his first fireworks show he went to sleep at 7:30 and we didn't want to wake a sleeping baby. Maybe next year. It was a nice relaxing, get out of town trip.

Mother's Day Weekend

We had a great weekend in Seattle...Mommy's first official Mother's Day!! Landon wasn't feeling his greatest on Saturday, we are battling it out with a little cold combined with three new teeth coming in on top (believe us, it's not a fun combo). G'Pa, Mommy and Daddy went skiing while Landon stayed home with GiGi, which was perfect for everyone. Mommy even popped right out of the water after not having skied for almost 2 years! But then on Sunday, Landon perked up, after a good night sleep, for church and decided he wanted all eyes on him and was determined to give the sermon in baby coos and da-das. It was hard for Mommy and GiGi not to laugh!! After church and visiting in the narthex, we had a wonderful brunch at home and then got on the road.

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

Here is Landon's green, Mommy didn't remember the holiday until this morning as we were walking out the door so this is Landon's St. Patrick's Day shirt. And that is the truth, he is Mommy's Little Monster!

Landon also deserves around of applause. Remember last month how he was doing the tripod sitting? Well we have been working on his sitting upright by putting one of his toys that brings his attention eye-level instead of looking down to his feet for toys. He got the hang of it and has been able to sit upright for a few seconds, but today he was able to hold it upright long enough for Mommy to get a couple pictures...

Merry Christmas...yesterday!

Well, we had the most wonderful Christmas! On Christmas Eve we read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas and watched It's a Wonderful Life in bed. Mommy and Landon fell asleep. Then Bright and early we woke up opened presents and it was off to a full day of Christmas. Landon was spoiled and by the end of the night we think that he had too much Christmas!
