2 am Wake Up Calls

For the past few nights, Landon has gotten us up at around 2 am crying...well we figured out what it was yesterday. Two more teeth erupted, his lateral incisors on the bottom!! Now he has eight teeth all together. After they came through, last night we didn't have a wake up call and it was back to a solid night sleep. Also, yesterday Landon let go of Mommy's hands and stood straight up without wobbling or grabbing for anything for about 5 seconds and slowly sat down. Just one step closer to his first steps!!
"No Mommy, I am 'Off Duty' for taking pictures! See the badge?"

What's That?

For the past week now Landon has been pointing to everything, and we mean EVERYTHING, in our house saying, "sss dat?" ("what's that"). He really likes the comic board that Daddy made, lights, and a picture we have of Landon's feet in Mommy's hands. To the comic board we say "where's Spiderman?" and he points to the board. In the bedroom we'll say, "where's the picture?" and he points to the feet picture! Then the rest is, point, "sss dat?" It is pretty much the cutest thing! Landon is also learning body parts and when we say them he is starting to know where they are and point to them. He is definitely closer to communicating with us.

Also, we are getting closer and closer to the whole walking thing. He is getting better at standing for a few seconds on his own, and then, instead of a crash to the butt he has more of a controlled sit now. The other thing he likes to do to walk is push his piano around the room like it is a walker. Our little baby is going to be a little kid soon!!

Just Playin' on a Sunday Afternoon

On Sunday we went out to Hayden Lake for a birthday party for Stephen, Landon's second cousin, who turned three. And we got a couple good pictures of how big Landon is getting. He saw this toy and loved it...
Looking at his Daddy...

9 Month Portraits and Check Up

Today was a busy day for us. Landon had his 9 month portraits and his Well-Baby Check Up. The Doc said that he looks great, his growth patterns are perfect, and after the pneumonia his ears, nose, throat, and chest are 100%!! It is always good to hear that your baby is doing so well. Landon's is also doing extremely well in cognitive development. Dr. Keblawi said at nine months most kids are saying MaMa, DaDa, and BaBa but they are just saying it and not associating it to who or what that actually is. Landon knows what those are as well as what "sit down" (mainly used in the tub when he is trying to stand and be cute) as well as "get the kitty" (which is then followed by a glare from the cat and then a chase by the baby in the super speedy crawl toward victory). We were reading his favorite book the other day "Moo, Baa, La La La" and after we would read a page we would say, "Where's the cow?" and Landon can now point to the cow!! It amazes Mommy and Daddy what Landon learns everyday. Landon had the rest of his shots today, so now he is all caught up. His next appointment will be for his 12 month Well-Baby and hopefully nothing before that will take us to the doctor!
Now for the fun stuff...the portraits!! We had a lot of fun with these but it was hard to keep Landon in one spot, he just wants to go, go, go!!
Here is the portrait setting with the rest of the pictures.

Hey, I Want That

Yes, Landon now wants what ever Mommy and Daddy are eating and is no longer entertained by the baby mush. We have slowly introduced what we are eating to Landon while he still was eating the baby food but as of Monday we are onto solids. Monday we had Fettuccine for dinner and this is what Landon looked like during dinner time. Not only does he want the big people food, he wants to feed himself as well...

Camping at the Moyie River

For Landon's first 4th of July we did our annual camping trip to the Moyie River. We had so much fun and Landon did so well!
Happy 4th of July...
While everyone went rafting Mommy and Landon stayed behind and went down to the river to go for a swim, the water was pretty chilly be it was really fun!
A little boy on a BIG adventure...
We camped for 4 days and had a blast. Landon missed his first fireworks show he went to sleep at 7:30 and we didn't want to wake a sleeping baby. Maybe next year. It was a nice relaxing, get out of town trip.
More Moyie River pictures.
