Trip to Seattle

Well, we had a great weekend trip over to Seattle to see GiGi and Gpa. While we were there we had a little visit from Mommy's Grandpa and Grandma Louise, so Landon finally met his great-grandparents. We got a four generation picture Great Grandpa, Gpa, Mommy and Landon...
We had so much fun while Grandpa and Grandma Louise were getting to know Landon, and Daddy for that matter. Landon provided us with some live entertainment through out the weekend showing off in front of the family.
GiGi did a little relaxing with Landon (we caught the 2 seconds that she wasn't whirlwinding around being the hostest-with-the-mostest on film)...
Gpa took Landon for his first doughnut (burning rubber on dry pavement not the pastry)...
Interestingly enough, for a cognition psych class that Mommy took in college she had to recall her very first memory... It was doing doughnuts in her Daddy's '64' GTO with her car seat tied in with yellow rope. Well Mommy got to witness the tying of the car seat process this time. Any bets on what Landon's first memory will be? Perhaps doing doughnuts in his Gpa's '64' Le Mans tied in with rope! Although you can't see it in the video, Landon was cracking up and doing his goofy little laugh!
And we still had time to trot around the yard looking at everything in sight...
More pictures of our trip, and stay posted for even more!! Since we had 3 cameras going all weekend long!

Little Book Worm

Well, Landon loves to read!! Which Mommy and Daddy are so happy about. Mommy and Landon read for about 20 minute intervals twice a day. We think that this has really affected his vocabulary a great deal. He is still saying "sss dat", question, and "dat" more as a statement. In the bath full of toys we can say "get your duck" and he grabs his duck and says "Duck!" he also does that with his fish and once he has it he says"Ish!" He can point to his toes when we says to but toe sounds like doe. He can point to the lights and this morning was saying "Ight, ight". And probably the cutest thing of all, after Mommy and Daddy sing the ABC's, Landon will mimic the the sound and rhythm with little grunts!! It is amazing everything he started doing last week. It was pretty much a quantum leap in his brain. Daddy was really amazed because he was gone from 7am until 1opm from work to Hunter's Safety class, so over the weekend Landon really got to impress Daddy with his newly acquired skills.

1st Trip to the Dentist

Well, yesterday was Landon's first trip to the dentist. It was a great experience. We loved the entire staff and Dr. Molly is wonderful. Now, from here on out Landon will be going to the dentist every three months for fluoride treatments and on the six month intervals he will get the cleaning along with the fluoride treatment. Yesterday he had the cleaning, which entails the doctor checking each of his teeth (all eight of them), the polish, and the fluoride. The hygienist was worried, since it was Landon's first time, that the polisher would scare him. I told her not to worry because he loves to use Mommy's sonicare toothbrush. He loved the polish too. Landon has very good teeth so far and we plan to keep them that way!! Here is a picture...
We will do knee to knee check ups until Landon is 2.

Ki-Ca

Kitty Cat, for those of you that don't speak Landon. Mommy got a couple second shot before the memory card filled up (Gee go figure) of Landon and his Ki-Ca. We're pretty sure Mommy got a death glare from the cat at the end of this video, as she was so rudely awakened from her nap on the couch after Mommy set Landon next to her...

Parenting Tip

Don't lose a bottle and find it after it has been 100+ degrees for a week...

Food Please

Well, Mommy thought that she had a few more years until this would start happening...

A New Week

Thank goodness!! We had a long one last week. Landon had a viral infection with spiking temperatures and very little sleep at night and our 100 degree heat all week wasn't very helpful. Now we are seeing the end of it and had no temperature last night which is great! Here was a little sample of what we were dealing with, having an OK time with things...
And it would change like that...
What a face, huh?
On Saturday, Landon went with Auntie Alicia and Mommy and Daddy went to St. Marie's to visit some friends to go huckleberry picking...
Some of the berries we found were ginormous! Mommy and Daddy went to town and picked 1.5 gallons! I think that Mommy will be making a few things, Huckleberry Cheese Cake?
